Biography
Ipogia Revmata (Greek: Υπόγεια Ρεύματα meaning "Underground Streams") is a greek rock group.
They started playing together in 1992 in Athens. The first lineup was Kostas Kontovas on keyboard, Grigoris Klioumis on vocals & guitar, Giannis Kiriakos on bass, Dimitris Argiris on guitar and Panagiotis Metallinos on drums. In 1993 they start recording their first album, which they release in 1994 under the title "O magos kitazi tin poli" (Greek: "Ο μάγος κοιτάζει την πόλη" meaning "The wizard is looking at the city". In 1995 they record the album "Paraloges" (Greek "Παραλογές"). In 1996 they record a live album at the "Theatre of Rocks", with their new drummer Vasilis Kousis. Before mixing the album, Vasilis Kousis died in a car accident. In 1997 the group records the album "Tsalakomenes meres" (Greek: "Τσαλακωμένες Μέρες" meaning "Creased days"). The live album of George Dalaras from "Iera Odos" is released and Ipogia Revmata participates with their song "Asimenia sfika" (Greek: "Ασημένια σφήκα" meaning "Silver wasp"). In 1998 they record the album "Ikones sta sinnefa" (Greek: "Εικόνες στα σύννεφα" meaning "Pictures in the clouds"). In 1999 they start recording the album "Mikra pou ine ta onira" (Greek: "Μικρά που 'ναι τα όνειρα" meaning "The dreams are so small"). They release the album in 2000. Finally in 2007 they release the album "Nea mera" (Greek: "Νέα μέρα" meaning "New day").
